Cindy Ethridge is an Audit Partner and further serves as GH&I’s Internal Co-Managing Partner and a member of the firm’s executive committee. She is head of the firm’s audit department and the nonprofit industry services group; serves as a member of the firm’s investment partnership industry group; and manages the firm’s quality control program.
In her role as an audit partner, Ms. Ethridge provides audit and consulting services to a wide variety of businesses, including investment companies, manufacturers and distributors, medical practices and hospitality companies. Nonprofit clients are also a large part of her practice and include those focused on the arts, education, the homeless, women, communities and families in need. As a result of her audit work and efforts across a large number of industries, Ms. Ethridge has accumulated extensive experience in systems analysis, implementation of internal controls, financial statement audits, reviews and OMB A-133 audits.
Career Highlights
In 2011, Ms. Ethridge received a business and community leader award from Womenetics, naming her a POW! Award Recipient for her leadership and impactful work with nonprofits and in the community. Before joining GH&I and just following college, Ms. Ethridge spent three years working in the audit department of the Atlanta office of Arthur Young & Company (now Ernst & Young). While at Arthur Young, she worked with clients in the manufacturing, health care and transportation industries.
Affiliations and Education
Ms. Ethridge is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA). She participates on the nonprofit committee for the Leading Edge Alliance (LEA) and is a member of the Georgia Center for Nonprofits and the Georgia Charter Schools Association. Ms. Ethridge is a director on two local boards in Atlanta – Community Health Charities of Georgia and City of Refuge.
A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Ms. Ethridge earned her B.B.A. with a major in accounting before becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
