Interns at GH&I are assigned to a series of engagements and assignments so they experience a cross-section of client situations and business issues, just like those of our staff. During your internship, you are hosted by a GH&I ‘buddy/mentor.’ And we focus on your individual and professional development. You will have the opportunity to participate with our full-time employees in all regularly-scheduled GH&I activities, to include presentations and events hosted by GH&I’s Young Leaders Group, and even community service projects and meetings.
Beginning with your first day, you will have a one-on-one general orientation with our Chief Learning Officer. She will train you on all firm software, review general firm procedures, and guide you through the firm’s intranet on firm information. Our HR administrator will cover with you all the firm’s policies and take you on a tour of our office space and introduce you to your new teammates.
On day two, you receive a customized orientation program, built around your education, experience, and position with our firm. This training period lasts from two days to two weeks in a formal setting, and the learning continues in an informal setting with your peers from that point forward. This orientation is the same program received by all our full-time permanent employees. You will also be invited to attend all of the training courses held at the firm during your internship with GH&I.
